Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci

I was so happy

To see a smile on your face,

A smile so lovely,

With a pure innocent grace.

A smile that melts,

The snow of my inmost being,

That so suddenly I felt,

The descent of an early spring.

A time of warmness,

With comfort, and serenity,

Like a gentle caress,

Reassures with calm certainty.

That although today

May be of bitter suffering,

Today will be yesterday

And nothing is everlasting.

So smile for me,

As we journey hence further,

So I will be happy,

As we walk close together.
