Courage and resolution are the spirit and soul of virtue.

Courage and perseverance conquer all before them.

The weapon of the brave is his heart.

If a job’s worth doing, it’s worth doing well.

That which is well done is twice done.

Diligence makes an expert workman.

Where bees are, there is honey.

Do not forget little kindness,

And do not remember small faults.[1]

When you drink from the stream,

Remember the spring.

Health and gaiety foster beauty.

Health and wealth create beauty.
