XXIV. Xanthippe

Great Day of His Wrath by John Martin

~ The Great Day of His Wrath by John Martin

He that is angry is seldom at ease.

Anger and haste hinder good counsel.

When a man grows angry, his reason rides out.

Anger restrained is wisdom gained.

A hungry man is an angry man.

Patience provoked turns to fury.

Anger punishes itself.

Wrath killeth the foolish man.[1]

 ~

Anger has no eyes.[2]

Anger ends in cruelty.

Anger is short madness.

An angry man never wants woe.

 ~

When wrath speaks,

Wisdom veils her face.

Anger begins with folly,

And ends with repentance.

[1] A biblical quotation: Job5:2.

[2] Hindi proverb.

I am thankful to you for fraowrding these quotations. It is really helpful in life to a man who read these quotations carefully. Really I have no better word to explain my feelings in this regard.
