Philosophy is the highest form of human intellectual achievement and expression

  • Be a lover of wisdom and a seeker of knowledge
  • Place the unbiased truth as the highest attainable objective
  • Form a coherent Weltanschauung (world view)

There is always an opportunity cost to every action and occurrence

  • There is no such thing as a free lunch
  • There is a price for progress
  • Do what is necessary and be willing to make sacrifices

Live as though there is no tomorrow, dream as though you can live forever

  • Carpe Diem: Seize the day
  • Memento Mori: Remember you must die
  • Hope for the best but always prepare for the worst

The truth lies in the eyes of the beholder

  • Nothing escapes human criticism
  • There is no universal truth that can be accepted by all men
  • Rationality lies in the eyes of the beholder

Always be mindful of your surroundings

  • See the big picture but remember that the devil is in the details
  • Act according to the circumstances
  • In Rome, do as the Romans do

I’m studying Commerce, although I wish I was doing something along the lines of literature. Economics and accouting have never been my strong point.

If the person was your frenid, they would probably be happy to hear from you. It would be a pleasant surprise to reconnect. If they don’t reply, it could be the wrong email address or an email address that they no longer use.I use it every day.

Always believed that one must love himself before one is able to love others.

Confucianism: One must manage himself to manage the world.

Gandhi: You must change yourself to change the world.

^^ I think it’s a categorical imperative to cultivate a healthy self-esteem without being proud of selfish.

A Garden of Knowledge you’ve cultivated here, stuff to meet almost any taste or opinion. Why you haven’t had more recent comments is a mystery; guess you are studying and don’t have time for blogging around. But I’ll be back; thanks for sharing all that effort, you’re very good at this.

    • Thanks Whitt,

I haven’t had the time to blog that much recently due to work and all. Plus, only a few people are interested in philosophy and economics where I stay. But I always believe in improving yourself to make the world a better place. ^^
